My name is Tania Munro and I am the proud owner of Tania's Dance Studio in Carleton Place, ON.

Growing up in El Salvador, I started dancing at the early age of 6. I have continued my love of dancing by formally becoming a dance teacher in May 2001. I have been privileged enough to study dancing with some of the finest dancers in Canada. Dancing has always been my passion and I consider myself lucky to work doing something I love.

Teaching for me is a way of sharing with others all the joys that dancing has brought into my life. I offer my students professional instruction in a relaxed and private environment. You can expect a positive attitude, dedication, patience, and most importantly, guaranteed results.
Hi, I'm Rick Ruggles and dancing has always been a part of my life. At the age of 6, I began my formal training with Ballet, Jazz, Tap/Step Dancing, and Modern. For over 10 years, I have brought my passion for dancing to my students in the Ottawa Region. For me, dancing, it's freedom and fun!

It is a great privilege and honour to be a teacher at Tania's Dance Studio.
Kristy Lalonde:   The first thing you need to know about me is that I am always dancing! Whether it be in Zumba class or just wildly flailing to my favourite song at home in my pjs, it's pretty much constant!

Zumba is the perfect combination of dance, fitness and fun and I just can't get enough! I took my first Zumba class by accident. My usual yoga class was full and the girl at the desk suggested I try to Zumba class since I was already there. I did and I fell in love! The music, the dancing and the fun, "no judgment" atmosphere had me smiling ear to ear!

I am also just finishing my last year in the Dietetics program at McGill University and on my way to becoming a registered dietitian. I'm a huge believer in a complete healthy lifestyle - it's all about balance!

Join me for a class. The more the merrier! Walk-ins are always welcome!
Bob and Louise began dancing together in 1997 as a way of relaxing from their high-stress tech-sector jobs in Ottawa. They never looked back, and they credit dancing for helping them form a strong circle of friends in Ottawa and Carleton Place during a time when they were both new to the area. They have studied various styles of couples dancing over the years but when they discovered West Coast Swing - it quickly became their favorite dance.

Today, Louise is known for her exceptional musicality and funky West Coast Swing, which complement Bob's cool, masculine style. Bob's extensive martial arts training (he holds a 2nd degree black belt in Goju Ryu style karate) gives him a strong understanding of movement and physical control.

They travel all over the United States and Canada for dance events/workshops and take private lessons with some of today's top West Coast Swing professionals.

Together and with other partners, they currently compete in West Coast Swing. They have won and placed in numerous "World Swing Dance Council" sanctioned events across Canada and the USA.

Teaching at Tania's Dance Studio is a part-time hobby for Bob and Louise that gives them the opportunity to meet new people and share the joy of the dances they love. They specialize in West Coast Swing, New York style hustle, Country 2 step and Night Club 2 step.
My name is Alize Abele and I am excited to become a part of the team at Tania's Dance Studio this year. After training professionally with the Quinte Ballet School from the age of 11, I went on to dance in Europe, the United States and with the National Ballet of Canada. I have had the privilege of working with many creative and extraordinary people and am eager to share my love of movement and dance with all of my students.

I have recently moved back to the area after teaching in Brooklyn, NY for five years. It was in New York that I gained experience in Hip Hop and African dance - both dynamic and exciting genres.

As an elementary school teacher I try to integrate the arts into all aspects of my instruction. Whether in the dance studio or the classroom, I strive to inspire my students to explore their interests and talents and not be afraid to try something new.

The Hip Hop class will be a great way to build strength, stay fit and express your own personality and style!
